ARUN is a Limited Liability Company with 105 investors (private and incorporated), aiming to support social enterprises in developing countries through investments, while building a social investment platform originating in Japan.

In the last four years since its establishment, ARUN has invested in six social enterprises in Cambodia and India, actively supporting social enterprises with practical advice and creating a system for social impact evaluation.

ARUN has been connected with organizations that contribute to social investment in Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, and countries in Africa, through organizing international conferences on social investment. NPO ARUN Seed has been established as a sister organization of ARUN LLC, in order to expand our activities and widen its scope.

ARUN Seed is going to conduct “Human Resource Development” program by offering classes and study tours on social investment for students and the general public, organize  the “Capacity Building Seminar” to further assist social entrepreneurs with their financial and management skills, and  offer “Learning platform” on social investment through organizing various events such as international symposiums.

In this seminar, we will introduce ARUN Seed’s visions and action roadmap, and hear the lecturers on the new forms of social contribution and CSR as the social investment as a keyword, as well as how this development will promote the innovation in our society. The presenter includes Prof. Seiichiro Yonekura, the director of ARUN Seed and the professor of Hitotsubashi University Innovation Research Center, as well as professionals from various sectors.

We open the second part of the seminar for the participants to talk with each other while enjoying good food and drink. If you are looking for new ways to conduct CSR activities, are interested in human resource development, or are interested in getting involved in social investment as a pro bono, we hope you will find some insight for your next steps through this seminar.
